Carlos El Gato, Clinic Cat

Carlos, aka Carl, came to live with us at the clinic after his elderly owner moved to a senior living facility in 2010. He was already an older, adult cat when he took up residence with us. The most popular question by clients was about Carl's age (followed by questions about his snaggle tooth). For years he was 8, then 12, then maybe 20... but only Carl knew. One thing was for sure, Carl loved people and people loved Carl. His silly toothed faced greeted every client that came to the clinic over the past 12 years. He even sat in our lobby windows while we were curbside to greet clients as they waited in their cars. Carlos' charm and captivating appeal with the patients and clients had made him a favorite around BCAC. He has even been an inspiration to a local artist. Carlos' outgoing personality and genuine concern for his fellow furry friends has inspired many new friendships over the years. Carlos was truly the perfect cat. No time would have ever been enough with Carl, we are just grateful for the time he shared with us and all of you.

Carlos passed away peacefully surrounded by his work family in 2022. In memory of Carlos we have the Carlos Care's fund (originally the "Girlie Fund"). This donation fund was created to help sick or injured pets that are unable to afford treatment and have no other option but euthanasia.
